REBATE FORMULAHome Benefits Plus rewards credit union members with a 25% rebate on Real Estate commissions when buying or selling their home, saving them thousands of dollars. EXAMPLE: a member is buying a $300,000 home and using a Realtor referred by Home Benefits Plus. The commission would typically be $9,000.00-the member would receive a rebate of $2,250.00. Home Benefits Plus refers a Realtor to a member to handle the sale of the existing $250,000 home. EXAMPLE: The commission would typically be $7,500 – the member would receive a 25% rebate of $1,875.00. This means, in this example of buying and selling the member could receive a total savings of $4,125.00. The above examples are based on brokerage commission of 3% of the buying or selling price. HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS:
To take advantage of the program, you must call HomeBenefitsPlus before contacting an agent directly. No rebate is available if you work with an agent directly. Rebates are subject to state and federal law. The following states currently prohibit rebates: Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee.
