would be a violation of the RESPA regulations.
Q. What do I do if I have a local Realtor who wants to be part
of the Home Benefits Plus program?
A. We will often add a Realtor interested in the Home Benefits Plus
program. Have the Realtor call our toll free number. Our consultants
will explain the program and determine if the Realtor meets the requirements
necessary to become involved in the Realtor part of the program.
Q. What does it cost the credit union to join the Home Benefits
Plus program?
A. Nothing. The credit union participates in the program absolutely
free.
Q. How much do I have to spend to market the Home Benefits
Plus program?
A. Nothing. Home Benefits Plus furnishes printed marketing materials.
You will also receive a CD of finished artwork that contains a brochure,
poster and an envelope insert. The printer will add your logo and it
is ready to be printed.
Q. How do I know the Real Estate agent won’t direct the
mortgage to someone other than the credit union?
A. The Home Benefits Plus Realtors understand that the mortgage is set
aside for the credit union. The Realtor also understands there will
be no repeat business if this rule is violated. It has never happened.
When the member calls the toll free number, one of the first questions
is, “Have you talked to the mortgage department of your credit
union?” You will have access to the member the same day the member
is assigned an agent.
Q. Where do you get your Realtors?
A. Home Benefits Plus participates with a nationwide network of Real
Estate professionals to serve credit union members all over North America.
We work with over 750 brokerages nationwide crossing all brands and
franchise affiliations. We have access to over 20,000 real estate agents
nationwide.

A. The local Realtor pays a traditional referral fee for the business
given to them. The member is paid the 25% rebate from this referral
fee.
Q. How do you handle my members when they call Home Benefits
Plus?
A. When the member calls, a consultant assesses their needs to get a
clear understanding of their goals. The consultant calls the member
back within 24 hours to give them the name and telephone number of their
Realtor. The member is encouraged to stay in touch with the Home Benefits
Plus consultant. The member is told that if they have any problems,
questions, or concerns, to call the consultant for assistance. Our consultant
acts as an advocate for the member to insure a smooth and successful
transaction.
